Checklist

rambling>>> Thanks to everyone for the reading suggestions. I'll have to bring a list to the airport bookstore, provided I actually have any time left after arriving at the airport, finding parking, getting through security, and pausing for a panic attack in the men's room (not a huge fan of flying, btw).

Lists are actually a big part of this trip and most things I do. I'm one of those hyper-organized freaks who gets some misguided sense of accomplishment from crossing things off an arbitrary list. However, I noticed my growing laziness is starting to collide with my organization, as I didn't even bother to make the list for this trip until today, when I leave tomorrow. And it's been a little backwards, since I've been adding some things after they're already done, just so I can see them checked off.

There's really only one thing left: the packing, which I hate. Somehow, I need to fit five days worth of clothes in a small duffle bag that I can carry-on, since I don't trust that a 45 minute layover will be enough time for both me and my luggage to get to the same plane if we're not attached at the shoulder strap.

I already need a vacation from this vacation.
