Taking The Long Way

So after getting a resounding lack of response from Out of Town Guy following a "when are we going to hang out again" question, I decided to contact Moody Guy for our third dinner together tonight. But of course he was in one of his moods after an ex said or did something to piss him off, so he kept going back on forth on whether he actually wanted to meet. Eventually, I inadvertently gave him a guilt trip and got him to meet me. Purely unintentional payback after the dramatic way we first met up.

Everything would have been fine at dinner, except our server happened to be another one of his exes, who kept coming over and interrupting our conversation. Moody Guy said he wasn't sure what was up, since most of the time this guy barely talks to him. I'd like to think the server was just plain jealous of hot little me.

We ended up going our separate ways after dinner, since both of us have to be up super early in the morning. I'm getting the sense (after three meals and nothing more) that he's only in this for friendship. Which is totally fine. Especially since he still has issues with his most recent ex.

But that essentially resets the Great Boyfriend Hunt of '08. I really don't want to get back on those stupid websites again to try to meet somebody; but knowing Moody Guy might help me pursue an alternate method of meeting guys, since he invited me to join his group of friends the next time they go to the skanky gay bar in town. Or maybe he just wants to get me in an environment that's more conducive to feeling me up than a public parking lot after a filling meal.
